Custom shirts In Perspective

Custom shirts In Perspective - Tips for a Stylish Man

When it comes to fashion and tastes, some men are really reluctant to try solids, stripes, patterns and plaids and this is a fact that many custom tailors already know. However, if the scale rule is applied there is nothing to worry about, its that all patterns on ties and shirts must be different to create an interesting and balanced contrast. The same applies to stripe ties which look really great on striped shirts or striped suits. However, this really depends on the size on the stripes. An excellent example of what we are talking about would be a fine stripe in a shirt being paired with a bolder striped tie, the opposite applies just the same. On a whole, when it comes to formality-fine stripes and patterns take the lead.

Dark Dress Shrits

Some years back it was not possible to find custom made shirts in dark colours. There were  so badly rejected in the business-world that the only place they could be seen was the dark yet welcoming wardrobe of many men. However, the times have changed and these same rejected dark shirts can add character to a wardrobe. Let us take a deep brown or purple shirt-these colours indicate flexibility, imagination and initiative in a man. However, this does not mean that they can be used with just about any men's suits. When it comes to softer colours they are the ones that still take the lead.

Should I choose Custom Tailoring?

This is a question that one can truly respond after  trying custom shirts and men's suits. In our personal opinion you will safely say goodbye to those clothes that did absolutely nothing to make your day. When you have your custom dress shirts and suits created you will notice just how different they are, meaning no excess space in the backs, sides, shoulders and seat to make you cheeks turn red with shame. After you have had a few custom made shirts then there is a high probability that you will hire a whole wardrobe for yourself. You may think-- am I blowing this to the extreme? In our opinion, only the poorly dressed executive or everyday man would say yes. Will you feel at peace with yourself and wardrobe after you have done it? Well we invite you to take up the challenge and bet every stitch of your favourite shirt that you will like it!!

Composition of Custom Dress Shirts

Is there is substitute for 100% cotton? This really depends, so the answer is a combination of yes and no. Yes-there are substitutes that  mix cotton and a synthetic material with a ratio of 60-40 cotton/poly blends and stretchable synthetics. No- the overall feel and look may not be the same. It is not possible to replace the 100% custom made shirt that has survived centuries of imposters trying to  take its place. There are different types of fabrics and these can range from poplins, European cottons and twills. If you do not have any experience in these areas then ask your custom tailor to help you chose by showing you the textures.

Short Sleeve Dress Shirts

Even though you have been bombarded by ads on TV that want to brainwash you into thinking that the short sleeve shirt is a dress shirt, do not be led astray. If looking professional is something that you hold very dear to your heart then do not sell yourself short by using a short sleeve shirt under your suit-save it for the weekend. If you hate bad manners, then wearing a short sleeve is just the same as stretching across the table to get some more vegetables instead of saying ''Can you please pass me the vegetables''. Therefore if you do not want to be called a geek in your expensive Italian shirt- save it for occasions outside of the office.
